It's truly fixed...i think.
Joe and I truly believe our refrigerator is fixed this time. Dave (yes we know the GE repairman by first name) found that the heating coil was broken. This was probably the only part that had not been previously replaced. We could physically see that the coil was broken so we are now confident that our fridge will not break again...i hope.

Music Kick.
I frequently use YouTube as my radio - it's great since they play all the songs I want. I usually become obsessed with one song and listen to it repeatedly until A) I get sick of it or B) Joe starts throwing objects at me. The song usually changes almost every week - here is this week's flavor:

Puppy next year.
Joe and I have oscillated back and forth on whether to get a puppy or not. We know we want one and eventually will get one, we just aren't sure that this is the right time. We already know of a few small trips that will be coming up over the next few months. It wouldn't be responsible of us to get a puppy knowing that we would be out of town quite a bit and would have to send him to our parents or friends to watch. Maybe next year...

We set up the Wii
Joe and I finally hooked up our Nintendo Wii yesterday afternoon. After beating Joe in tennis he sulked off to the bedroom to read Twilight (he read 350 pages yesterday afternoon/evening). I decided to challenge the computer to Wii tennis where I built up my pro points. I'm going to master bowling next and maybe take on Ellie...
Anyways, I woke up this morning and my right arm and obliques were incredibly sore. I'm not just a wrist Wii player - I use my whole body as if I were actually on the tennis court. What a workout - wish I had found this early in the winter!

You could live in Sunny Sonoma!
I have a secret to admit: for the past few weeks or maybe even a month, I have been entering a sweepstakes to win HGTV's dream home in Sonoma, California. I was going to make a post about this after I first entered but then I figured my chances of winning would be better if I kept it to myself. However, now, and unfortunately it is the last day to enter, I realize it would have been better for me to have told my friends and family since that would actually better my chances of ever visiting the home. Of course my friends would share the house with me if they won...right?

Weekend Synopsis.
Joe and I had a very nice weekend and were sad to see it come to an end. Friday we went out to dinner at a Tapas Bar (the same one I went to with my friend Tara a few weeks back). It was a very relaxed and romantic atmosphere - a nice way to start off the Valentine's weekend.
Saturday morning I woke up to breakfast being served to me in bed! There is nothing better than waking up and having a cup of coffee already made and sitting on your bedside table. Now add to that chocolates and a beautiful bouquet of flowers and that is a pretty good Valentine's Day!
We drove around and explored some of the suburbs of Pittsburgh in the afternoon before our dinner at The Stone Mansion. Joe and I both agreed that it was a restaurant with a lot of character, but the service and food seemed a bit off - they were most likely overextended from the holiday.
Sunday we went up north to Joe's parents house to play poker and spend the night. I had a few meetings in New Castle today so it saved me the hour-long early Monday morning drive.

Today I called 911...
...no worries though, there wasn't a real emergency. Cityzens received a notice that we were required to have the graffiti on one of our buildings removed. The graffiti has been on the building for a while; even before Cityzens purchased the building in October 2008. However, someone notified the city that they wanted it removed and the first step towards this was to file a police report.
I called the station and they informed me I needed to call 911 for them to be able to dispatch an officer. This was my first time dialing 911 and I had to call my mom first for a pep talk. I was nervous they were going to be mad at me for calling for a non-emergency. It all ended up just fine - the officer came and took pictures of the graffiti and the report was filed.

Ken Ken
They put a new puzzle in the New York Times and I decided to try it yesterday. I liked it a lot! It's similar to sudoku but uses math - check it out.

A visit to Petland.
Joe and I took a trip to Petland today just to look at the dogs. It potentially could have been a bad trip...they had a puggle for sale and it was adorable! It was very tiny and playful - we had to run out of the store before we bought it right then and there. As of now, we are leaning towards getting a puggle (thanks Nicole for you persuasive comment). However, we would prefer to get the puppy from a breeder so that we know it isn't a mill puppy. There is a good chance there would be a new addition to the Patrick family this spring...

Should we get a puppy?
Joe and I have been thinking about getting a dog since the Fall. We thought it would be best to at least wait until the Spring. This way we would have really thought about it and wouldn't be taking on such a responsibility on a whim.
However, we are still up in the air about it. We love the idea but don't know if we want to be tied down quite yet. We usually work from home so at least we would be there to take him out and play with him occasionally. But, when we do work a long day away from home, I wouldn't feel right about leaving him in a crate or home alone. Thoughts? (Or just vote in the poll to the right). If we were to get a puppy though, it would be a puggle (pug x beagle). Pretty cute!

May the force be with you.
We finished watching the last movie of Star Wars this evening. Joe couldn't believe he had married me without me having seen any of the series. So, over the past few weeks we watched IV, V and VI then knocked out I, II and III. I enjoyed them - especially seeing them in that order.

Superbowl Champs!
In a very exciting game, the Steelers came out victorious! Joe and I had a small get together at our house (it was initially supposed to be a surprise for Joe, but he found out). About 10 of us watched the game and then went down to the South Side to celebrate with the rest of Pittsburgh. It was fun to see so many people wearing black & gold as they gathered on Carson Street to cheer.

Joe turns 23!
Today is Joe's birthday - I surprised him with a waffle maker this morning and we used it right away! It made some delicious Belgian waffles so I'm sure this new machine will get use at least once a week. The ultimate birthday gift for Joe would be for the Steelers to win tonight.
