Let there be Art!

Joe and I haven't put too much art on Jono's wall yet. We initially didn't know where to start but have come up with some initial ideas for his bachelor pad.

1. We have a bar...so bar mirrors and such make sense. There are many to choose from; Steelers, personalized signs, and pretty much any kind of beer.
2. We found a pretty cool Pittsburgh picture.

I suppose it's a good start but that is really as far as we have gotten - any ideas for some manly artwork?

Free books!

I went to buy a new book for my Kindle this morning and noticed that there is a huge list of literary classics...for free! I'm currently reading The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes because that's just fun. But I've also downloaded Sense and Sensibility, Treasure Island and War and Peace for a total of $0.00!

Please, someone buy!

Joe and I stopped at our house in Pittsburgh yesterday. Since the graffiti incident, we have vowed to check on the house more frequently - nothing drives a potential buyer away like obscenities written by the front door. We were happy that there was none of that this time.

However, the trip was not without finding a new issue or two. Our master bedroom had water damage around the window - similar to what happened last spring. The drywall/paint is wrinkled on both sides of the window. Then we looked up to find a 3 foot long, 3 inch wide crack on the ceiling. We have no idea what the cause was, maybe water again? I suppose we are just lucky the house was still standing...

The Pet Parlor! It will be Bailey's first time going out to get a bath and her nails clipped. Also, I worried that this could sound like we haven't bathed her since we got her August...that is just not the case We've given her baths here at home a few times but they have been such a struggle that I figured it would be good to give a professional groomer a try. We'll see how she likes it...

Case of the Mondays.

Oye, the 10 o'clock soccer games on Monday nights is way too late and not the way to start the week off. Exhausted. At least we won!

Olympics.

Who's excited for the Winter Olympics? I know it will frequently be on in our household! We're looking forward to the freestyle skiing, snowboard and especially curling. Oh, and the bobsled is pretty neat too.

Busy busy!

Joe and I have been pretty busy this week - my excuse for not posting much. We had a soccer game Monday night (at 10:00 - way too late!). Tuesday we went out to dinner with Brian and Micah at Ruby Tuesday's. Wednesday night we braved the roads and went to the Penguins game - they won! Last night was a little more relaxing and today we will be going to Penn State to celebrate Joe's brother's 21st Birthday!

Joe and I went to see Avatar last night. I loved it! The scenery was beautiful in 3-D and the storyline was great as well! James Cameron is a genius when it comes to cinematography. Maybe we'll go see it again...

Don't you hate when you find things in the washer or dryer and you don't know where they came from or even what they used to be? I do.

A birthday.

It's Joe's Birthday today - Happy Birthday to him! I surprised him with a Kindle since he has wanted one since Christmas when he gifted one to me. I loaded The Wall Street Journal so he could read it this morning. We had some cake after work and will be headed out to dinner this evening.
