Bailey's First Birthday.

Bailey turned one today (or at least that's our best guess)! We were in Solon for half the day so we were able to celebrate with my parents, see the the pictures below:

A muffin with peanut butter for her birthday cake.

Opening her first gift. I look more excited than her - she is staring pretty intently at the biscuit though.

We came back to New Castle so we could have a birthday dinner with Joe's parents. We grilled chicken and steak and Bailey enjoyed both! She is one lucky dog!

So I signed up for twitter finally. I don't know why I hadn't explored this earlier...I'm usually pretty curious about new social mediums (ya know, the social butterfly I am). However, I am not decided on whether I will just stalk follow people or actually partake and tweet on a daily basis. To tweet or not to tweet, that is the question.

If you want to follow me in case I choose to tweet...you can find me at WrensRambles.

Split pea.

I made some split pea and ham soup on Sunday. The rainy and gray weather made it appropriate. I am eating some left over now and found myself searching for coins in my spoonful. As a tradition, my mom makes split pea soup for New Years Day and puts coins (cleaned well) in the soup. The amount of money you fish out is how lucky of a year you will have. No coins in my soup though...

What's for dinner?

Since I've started having kickboxing class on Monday and Wednesday nights, the family dinners have really gone down hill. I must apologize to Joe for this turn of events. These nights, dinner usually consists of some Natural Skippy Peanut Butter, Smuckers Grape Jelly and some wheat bread. Secretly (not so secretly anymore) I am not opposed to this diet at all. I love PB&J. I could probably have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner...no complaints!

Slow posting.

I don't really have a good excuse for not posting regularly. I suppose there just hasn't been newsworthy reporting to do. Just enjoying the warming weather and working. We've been practicing heel and not going crazy when we see other dogs. Both have been slowly getting better. The trainer said it could take months before the new behaviors are completely ingrained...it's been two weeks. We have ways to go but I'm happy to see some progress - it gives me hope!

Snozzles, Moozles and Pig Ears.

I got Bailey some new treats today. She had tried the snozzle (pig snout) before, but the moozle (cow snout) and pig ear she has not. I let her pick which one she want to snack on first and she chose the pig ear which she enjoyed. Good choice. I was initially pretty in awe and a little disturbed when I saw these in the store, but the saleswoman explained that these are parts that are usually thrown away. I figured I'd give it a try...I mean, let Bailey give them a try. She loves them so far!

Worktime snack.

A coworker bought these for the office. Let me tell you, they are dangerously delicious and so easy to just pop in your mouth when you're not thinking about it. This tub will be going quick!

Easter Photo.

Joe and I don't take pictures together very frequently. So when we were dressed up a bit for Easter on Sunday we snapped a quick shot:

...and we're back!

I've been spending the majority of my time outside in the wonderful Spring weather instead of blogging. Bailey and I have been on numerous walks (practicing heeling and impulse control when faced with distractions). For Easter, Joe and I met my Mom and Dad in Canfield, Ohio for lunch. It was a very nice meal and I left with an Easter bag of candy, including my favorite:
