After thinking about the venues we saw last weekend, we have decided that none of the locations are exactly what we are looking for. Although we liked Phipps a lot, there would not be a center aisle for the ceremony which is something we are not willing to compromise. It has been frustrating to find a venue especially since we are 2 and a half hours away from Pittsburgh. We are going to return to Pittsburgh next weekend to look at the Grand Hall and the Grand Concourse as well as a few other locations that my mother suggested. Hopefully our second trip will result in finding the perfect venue!
Next weekend we will also be visiting Joe's house on Mount Washington (the one I will eventually move into). On our last trip to Pittsburgh, we walked through with the contractor and electrician to map out lighting, TV mounts and electrical outlet placement. It's fun to build a house from the ground up and I think Joe and I will have a good time with it.
