We're getting married!
On January 6, 2008 (Paradise Island, Bahamas) Joe proposed under the stars on the balcony of our Atlantis hotel room. The day started out with a couples massage at the Mandara Spa and ended with a romantic dinner at Nobu. We spent the day together floating along the lazy river and relaxing by the pool. After eating sushi and tempura, we strolled along the Village Marina admiring the yachts and enjoying the island atmosphere. We returned to the hotel room and went to the balcony to stargaze. Joe wrapped his arms around me and subtly presented me with a small box. I turned around and he was on one knee and now here we are almost two weeks into our engagement, planning our wedding.
That's where this blog comes in. It will provide others with updates of the wedding plans, act as a memoir to look back on, and will help to organize our thoughts.

Congratulations to you Lauren. You certainly must be excited with graduation in the Spring and a wedding in the Summer. We look forward to meeting Joe and attending your wedding. My family(P.and S.,D.and N.) was wondering when there would be a wedding from the Ohio families. And now we know.
