Chapter 98: Heading Home Hardships

We were on the runway ready to take off yesterday when the pilot told us a warning light came on and we had to go back to the gate. Initially we were told it would be a half hour for them to check it out and then we would be on our way. Unfortunately, we were told it was going to be longer than a half hour, they were going to delay the flight four hours. Four hours later, they canceled the flight and we were faced with the decision of whether to get a hotel and fly out the next morning or try to book another flight. The only other flight to Pittsburgh was overbooked so we decided to take the redeye to Cleveland and then rent a car and drive to Pittsburgh. Cleveland would have been more convenient for me if my car wasn't parked in New Castle at the Patrick's house. Finally, after being in the airport for 10 hours, we boarded and took off. We landed at 6 AM EST and drove back to Pittsburgh. It was a tiring day but finally we were back!

Another unfortunate incident was that Joe and I were not able to relax after this hectic day of travel. We had a meeting at our house with Guardian (for security, central vac and sound system). We arrived around 10:00 and the Guardian rep started his work while Joe and I (mostly Joe) started ours. We had received our desks while we were in San Francisco so now we were excited to start assembling them! Here are some pictures:

I'm glad you enjoy it Kate! I'll consider keeping it up...I just don't know if things will be as exciting as they are now.
